The walk through the jungle was great. It was early in the morning, to the park we went on the back of a pickup truck. We got there and started to walk accompanied by guides. First stop on the way was a tree where a tarsier family lives. We were lucky and could see two of them. What a cute creatures! They look like one of the characters from the Madagascar cartoon (the little cute one ;) They are small, furry, have those huge eyes and can turn their heads like owls. Unfortunately, my camera isn’t the best (or other way around – I’m no good photographer ;) so the pictures I took don’t look that awesome. The animals are waaaay cuter live ;)
We have been walking in the jungle for about 5 hours. And did spot (apart from the tarsiers) a hornbill as well as a family of black macaques – which also are species endemic to Sulawesi. As a picture says more than 100 words, just take a look:
